How do automatic summaries work?

Our software is able to generate fully automatic summaries for the sports hockey and football. Using image recognition and intelligent algorithms, we can recognize important moments in recordings and we place these moments one after the other in an automated summary. It is never 100% accurate, because the computer sometimes mistakes a moment for something else. It is also currently necessary for these summaries to have two fisheye cameras behind the goals (both goal side 1 camera). For other fields or other sports, the fully automated summary is therefore not yet possible. But we have other solutions for that!

Automated tag-based summary during recording

If you want a summary to be made of your recordings immediately, you can ensure this by tagging during the recording (for example during the game played). This can be done with our annotation app or with the instant replay app. For each sport there are triggers to include moments in the summary by giving your annotations a certain name. See overview below.

Hockey & football

  • goal/goal (for example, goal for or goal against are also included)
  • penalty kick / penalty kick / penalty
  • chance (e.g. chance for or chance against)
  • (penalty) corner/corner kick (e.g. penalty corner for hockey and a corner kick for football)

All other sports

  • special

As soon as you use the above annotation names, a summary will be created automatically!

Make a summary yourself, how do I do that?

Afterwards it is now also possible to compile your summary yourself. You can read how to do that in this article.
